Jayaram is playing a film makeup man in the multi starrer Makeup Man which has Prithviraj, Lakshmi Rai, Sheela, Jagathy, Suraj, Siddique, Janardanan, Manianpillai Raju and others.
The film is directed by Shafi and produced by Rajaputra Ranjith.
Sachi and Sethu the popular writers who shot to fame with Chocolate have penned the story for the film. It is all about the life and times of a film makeup man played by Jayaram, who moves around like the shadow of an actor.
The film makeup man moves around with the star on the sets with a comb and mirror tucked in his waistband, holding a makeup cum vanity bag in one hand and an umbrella in the other hand.
Jayaram plays Balu an MBA graduate who due to circumstances is forced to become the makeup man of top actress Surya played by Sheela.
Azhagappan is the cameraman and the film will be shot in two schedules. The first one month schedule will be completed in Thiruvananthapuram, followed by a schedule in Singapore in June. Makeup Man will be an Onam release.
