Seniors Movie Review

After 2010 biggest hit "Pokkiriraja" director Vysakh back again with an 'Entertainer' flick titled "SENIORS". The hype for the movie is as big and expectations is also on high already before release. "Seniors" hits screen on 7th May 2011, with grand opening. Yes, the expectations never fails, Vysakh and crew is back with a 'real entertainer'.

"Seniors" produced by Vyshakha Rajan, the movie will have the script written by Sachi-Sethu.
The movie outline said about four best friends Pappu-Padmanabhan(Jayaram), Munna(Manoj.K.Jayan), Rex(Kunchakko Boban) and Idikkula(Biju Menon) whose decides to get 'Back to College', after 12 years. Before 12 years, these four had stop their studies due to a murder that happens on the time of college fest and Pappu caught by the police for the murder and sent to jail for 12years. In gap of these 12years, Idikulla and Munna get married and Rex get live as bachelor. Pappu get back after his jail punishment, and he asked his three friends that he had a wish to retain those missing college days by joining again for PG in the same college. This 'Back to College' had an intention that reveals some mystery??

Vysakh's direction and Sachi-Sethu's script is the main highlight behind the success of movie. Its bit difficult to direct a comedy-thriller thread, but Vysakh well succeed in it.Dialogues are simple; they don't get flowery at any point. There is plenty of fun in the former half. The movie starts with a flashback and go on with good flow and never makes audience boring or confused.
The four Seniors were really effective, bringing in lots of sparkle and shine to the film.Biju menon is the pick of the lot, who hasn't worked in many comic capers, but handles his part confidently, with most of his comedies coming out really well. Manoj K Jayan as a flirty Munna slips into the roles with remarkable ease.Jayaram has very few one liners to tickle your funny bone but plays to the demands of his role.Kunchakko Boban once again displays his newly found maturity as an improved actor. The other cast including Padmapriya, Siddique, Suraj Venjarumood, Lalu Alex, Radha Varma, Jyothirmayi, Meera Nandhan, Ananya and Vijayaraghavan are in their regular fitss, but suit the roles they are on.

Technical side of "Seniors" is brilliant and perfect. Cinematography by Shaji and editing by Mahesh Narayanan is noted excellent. Songs by Jassie Gift and Alphonse is apt for movie and background score by Gopi Sunder is perfect for comedy and thrilling touches. On a scene, Kunchakko Boban's biggest hit 'Aniyathi Pravu' theme music reloaded makes a grand claps effect in theatres.
The main reason "Seniors" works is because the performance of the foursome that Vysakh is able to extract, giving us a sense of 'Comedy-Thriller'. "Seniors-Back to College" is a Back to good entertainer.

Verdict:Mass entertainer.
